Though best known as one of the Emmy Award-winning writer/producers of Lost, and for creating The Middleman comic books and television series, Javier Grillo-Marxuach is a prolific creator of film, tv, graphic novels and transmedia content. Javier’s current work in television includes the upcoming Netflix series The Dark Crystal and Cowboy Bebop, as well as Blood & Treasure for CBS. His other recent work includes The 100, The Shannara Chronicles, and Medium. An avid advocate for mentorship, Grillo-Marxuach co-created the Children of Tendu podcast - an educational series designed to help newcomers navigate the television industry - and administers the Grillo-Marxuach Family Scholarships benefitting up and coming writers at the at USC film school and the Carnegie-Mellon Creative Writing program at the Dietrich College of Humanities.
